15 Years of Moving India Forward

We started with a simple belief — that families and businesses deserve a relocation company that actually shows up, does what it promises, and treats the process with the seriousness it deserves.

How Writer Relocations Came to Be

Writer Relocations started as a small domestic moving operation. The early years were about proving one thing — that a customer who trusted us with their belongings would get them delivered safely, on time, and at the price agreed. That didn't sound like a high bar, but in the Indian relocation industry of that time, it was.

We built our reputation neighbourhood by neighbourhood, city by city. Word of mouth carried us further than any advertisement. A family we moved from Mumbai to Pune would recommend us to their colleague shifting to Bengaluru. A professional we helped relocate within Chennai would call us again when they moved abroad.

Over the years, we expanded our service offerings to match what our customers genuinely needed. International relocation came first — families moving to the UAE, Singapore, and the US needed a trustworthy Indian partner who understood both sides of the process. Air freight and sea freight followed as we built relationships with freight forwarders and destination agents worldwide.

Today, we operate from 8 branch offices across India — Bengaluru, Pune, Delhi, Chennai, Goa, Noida, Chandigarh, and Jaipur — with a team of over 100 trained relocation professionals who handle household shifts, office moves, and international cargo daily.

Our Values in Practice

These aren't statements on a wall. They're what our team actually does, move after move.

Honest Pricing

The quote after the survey is the final number. No surprises on delivery day, no additional charges that weren't discussed in advance. We've built trust by keeping this promise consistently.

Packing Quality

We source packing materials specifically for transit protection — not whatever is cheapest. Bubble wrap, proper cartons, foam, stretch film, custom crating for fragile or antique pieces.

Real Communication

You get one coordinator from booking to delivery. A person you can call directly. Not a call centre, not a ticketing queue. Someone who knows your move and takes responsibility for it.

Accountability

If something goes wrong — and in this industry, sometimes it does — we own it and resolve it. Our customers shouldn't have to fight for what they were promised.

International Expertise

International moves require knowledge that most domestic movers don't have. Customs clearance, export documentation, port coordination, destination agents — we've built this capability carefully over years.

Trained Teams

Our packing and loading crews are trained and regularly assessed. The difference between good and bad packing isn't materials — it's the person doing the work. We invest in ours.

The Operational Process That Keeps Moves On Track

Every move at Writer Relocations follows a structured process — not because we're rigid, but because it's the only way to ensure consistency at scale. Whether it's a 1BHK shift or a full international container, the core process is the same.

It starts with a survey — physical or video — to understand exactly what needs to move, where it's going, and what challenges exist (building access, fragile items, special dimensions). From there, we build a move plan and quote.

On move day, the crew arrives with the right materials and enough time. Items are inventoried before loading — a step many movers skip, but one that makes damage claims much simpler if needed. Loading is systematic, not rushed.

During transport, intercity moves are GPS-tracked and the coordinator stays in contact. At the destination, the same standards apply for unloading, unpacking, and setup. The move is closed only when the customer confirms everything is in order.

The Functions That Make Moves Happen

Behind every successful relocation is a set of functions that most customers never see — but always benefit from.

Move Coordinators

The person you deal with from enquiry to delivery. Responsible for planning, scheduling, and keeping you informed throughout.

Packing Teams

Trained packers who know the difference between packing books and packing glassware. Materials are chosen per item type.

Logistics & Transport

Fleet coordination, driver scheduling, GPS tracking, and vehicle selection based on load type and route.

Documentation Team

Handles all customs paperwork, export documentation, airway bills, and sea freight documentation for international moves.

How We Handle Your Belongings

Packing quality is where most movers cut corners. We don't — and here's specifically what that means.

Multi-Layer Packing

Fragile items get individual bubble wrap, inner foam, then carton boxing with cushioning. Not just bubble wrap around everything and hope.

Labelling System

Every box is labelled with room destination, contents category, and handling instruction. This speeds up unpacking significantly and reduces handling damage.

Furniture Dismantling

Beds, wardrobes, shelving units — dismantled correctly before the move and reassembled by the same crew at the destination using proper tools.

Pre-Move Inventory

Every item is documented before loading — quantity, condition notes, and packing type. This inventory is the reference document if any issue arises.

Load Securing

Goods are loaded systematically — heavy at the bottom, fragile on top, secured with straps to prevent shifting during transit.

International Packing Standards

For sea freight, ISPM-15 compliant wooden crating is used. For air freight, airline-approved packing materials and dimensions apply.
